VOLTA REGIONAL COORDINATING DIRECTOR PAYS WORKING VISIT TO HO WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY

The Volta Regional Coordinating Director (RCD), Alhaji Mohammed Avona Akape, on Wednesday, 14th January 2025, paid a working visit to the Ho West District Assembly as part of his familiarization tour of all Municipal and District Assemblies (MDAs) in the Volta Region.

The visit was aimed at enabling the Regional Coordinating Director to interact with staff, acquaint himself with the operations of the Assembly, and obtain first-hand information on challenges confronting the Assembly in the discharge of its mandate.

Addressing staff during a durbar, Alhaji Avona Mohammed Akape underscored the importance of teamwork, discipline, punctuality, and dedication to duty. He urged staff to uphold integrity, adhere to established administrative procedures, and remain committed to the effective implementation of government policies and programmes.

The RCD assured the Assembly of his commitment to supporting development initiatives across the region and working closely with District Assemblies to achieve shared development goals. He therefore called on staff to work collectively to enhance service delivery and contribute to making the Volta Region a better place.

In his address the District Chief Executive, Hon. Profer Francis Dusey, welcomed the RCD to his district and expressed optimism about strengthened collaboration under his leadership. He assured the RCD of the Assembly’s full cooperation and commitment, and encouraged him to continue championing accountability, discipline, innovation, and inclusive development for the growth of the region.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Eli Tsikata, in his remarks reaffirmed the Assembly’s commitment to working closely with the Volta Regional Coordinating Council to achieve government objectives and improve service delivery at the district level.

As part of the programme, the Ag. District Development Planning Officer, Mr. Joel Sackey, made a brief presentation on key thematic areas, including sanitation, human resource capacity, and infrastructure development, as well as priority areas requiring regional support.

An open forum session was later held, during which issues such as staff welfare, promotion, and capacity building were raised. The Regional Coordinating Director and the Regional Human Resource Manager responded to the concerns and assured staff that their inputs would be given the necessary attention.
