CLEAN-UP EXERCISE AT DODOME AWIASU

The Ho West District Assembly, together with residents of Dodome Awiasu, organized a clean-up exercise on 3rd November, 2025, as part of government’s commitment to promoting environmental cleanliness and improving sanitation within communities.

The exercise saw active participation from residents, the District Chief Executive (DCE), staff of Zoomlion Ghana Limited, the Hon. Assembly Member of the electoral area, and staff of the District Assembly. Participants cleared litter, swept streets, and desilted drains to enhance sanitation in the area.

In his brief remarks, the District Chief Executive, Hon. Profer Francis Dusey commended residents for their dedication and active involvement in the exercise. He urged them to sustain the spirit of cleanliness and collective responsibility toward maintaining a healthy environment. He further encouraged the community to make environmental sanitation a regular practice to ensure a cleaner, safer, and healthier Dodome Awiasu.

The Environmental Health and Sanitation Unit, led by Mr. Daniel Kumah, supervised and coordinated the exercise to ensure effective participation and proper waste management. The clean-up exercise forms part of the National Sanitation Day initiative and is organized as a monthly activity held every first Saturday of the month to promote continuous community hygiene and environmental cleanliness across the district.
