HO WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY HOLDS JOINT BUDGET COMMITTEE AND DISTRICT PLANNING COORDINATING UNIT (DPCU) MEETING

The Ho West District Assembly held a Joint Budget Committee and District Planning Coordinating Unit (DPCU) Meeting on Thursday, 30th October 2025 at the District Assembly Hall, Dzolokpuita. The meeting brought together members of the Budget Committee and the DPCU to deliberate on the 2026 Annual Action Plan and the 2026–2029 Composite Budget.

Mrs. Beatrice Boateng, Assistant Director I, who chaired the meeting on behalf of the District Coordinating Director (DCD), welcomed all members and emphasized the relevance of the meeting in ensuring participatory and inclusive planning and budgeting for the holistic development of the Ho West District.

In his remarks, the District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Profer Francis Dusey, reiterated the Assembly’s vision of promoting accountable governance and sustainable development through effective planning and resource allocation. He further reaffirmed management’s commitment to supporting all departments to effectively carry out their mandates for the benefit of the people of Ho West District.

The Acting District Planning Officer, Mr. Joel Kwashie-Sackey, presented the 2026 Annual Action Plan, highlighting key development goals and proposed activities across various sectors, including education, health, infrastructure, and local economic development.

The District Budget Analyst, Mrs. Belinda Emefa Degboe, followed with a presentation on the 2026–2029 Composite Budget, which outlined key revenue projections, expenditure estimates, and funding sources of the Assembly. Discussions centered on strategies to enhance revenue mobilization and ensure efficient utilization of financial resources to support the implementation of planned activities.

The Ag. District Planning Officer, also provided updates on the implementation of ongoing projects and programmes, detailing progress made and measures being taken to ensure timely completion and sustainability of development initiatives.

In conclusion, Mrs. Beatrice Boateng, Assistant Director I, thanked all members for their active participation and reiterated the Assembly’s commitment to ensuring effective coordination and implementation of planned activities to promote sustainable development within the Ho West District.
