The Ho West District Assembly held a consultative meeting with sand winning contractors to communicate key decisions on sand winning operations within the district. This engagement forms part of the Assembly’s broader efforts to enhance compliance, promote environmental sustainability, and strengthen stakeholder collaboration.
Key issues discussed included the implementation of a rotational work plan, operational working hours, strict compliance with the Assembly’s rules and regulations, revenue mobilization, and adherence to environmental guidelines.
The District Chief Executive, Hon. Profer Francis Dussey, called for unity among contractors and strict adherence to agreed rules to ensure a peaceful and enabling environment for operations.
The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor, encouraged the contractors to continue working closely with the Assembly and emphasized the importance of regular dialogue to address operational challenges and ensure mutual understanding.
Also present at the meeting were the District Finance Officer, District Budget Analyst, District Internal Auditor, District Information Officer, and an Administrative Officer.
