DISTRICT HEALTH DIRECTORATE PAYS COURTESY CALL ON DCE

The Ho West District Health Director, Dr George Nyarko together with other staff of the Directorate, paid a courtesy call on the District Chief Executive, Hon. Profer Francis Dusey, at his office on Tuesday, 20th April 2025.

The visit was to formally welcome the DCE into office and to reaffirm the Directorate’s commitments to supporting the DCE in the discharge of his mandate in terms of healthcare services across the district.

At the meeting, the District Health Director gave an overview of the Directorate’s operations and the challenges affecting the delivery of health services in the district. Some of the challenges mentioned where high staff attrition, poor accessibility to hard-to-reach communities, lack of motor bikes, and lack of office space for the Directorate.

The Hon. DCE expressed appreciation for the visit and acknowledged the critical role the Health Directorate plays in providing quality healthcare services. He assured the delegation of the Assembly’s support and reaffirmed his unwavering commitment to addressing health issues in the district.

Also present at the meeting were the District Disease Control Officer, District Nutrition Officer, District Mental Health Officer, District Public Health Nurse, Health Information Officer, the Administer, the officer in charge of HIV, Accountant , and the District Health Promotion Officer.
