HO WEST DCE PAYS WORKING VISIT TO SECURITY AGENCIES IN THE DISTRICT

The Ho West District Chief Executive (DCE), Hon. Profer Francis Dusey, on Thursday, 24th April 2025, embarked on a familiarization visit to various security agencies in the district. The purpose of the visit was to officially introduce himself and engage with personnel on matters concerning their operations.

The DCE first visited the District Police Command at Anyirawase, where he held an interaction session with the District Police Commander and his team. He commended the police for their commitment to maintaining law and order in the district.

Hon. Dusey continued to the Honuta border, where he met with members of the Border Operations and Security Committee (BOSEC), comprising personnel from the Ghana Immigration Service, Narcotics Control Commission, Customs Division, Port Health, and Plant Quarantine.

During the engagements, the security agencies outlined a number of challenges, including inadequate logistics such as vehicles, motorbikes, and fuel; inadequate staffing; accommodation constraints; a critical water shortage at the border; and the need for a fitness facility to promote physical well-being among officers.

The DCE commended BOSEC for their dedication to safeguarding the country’s borders. He assured all the agencies of his unwavering commitment to addressing  these challenges. He also reaffirmed his commitment to ensuring that security remains a cornerstone of development in the district.
