HO WEST DCE PAYS WORKING VISIT TO DISTRICT EDUCATION DIRECTORATE

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Ho West, Hon. Profer Francis Dusey, on Wednesday, 23rd April 2025, paid a working visit to the District Education Directorate to familiarize himself with the management and staff of the Directorate.

During the visit, the District Director of Education, Mrs. Paulina Slyn Eworde Gobe, congratulated the DCE and expressed her appreciation for his initiative to engage directly with the Directorate. She briefed him on the Directorate’s activities and outlined some of the key challenges facing the education sector in the district. These included inadequate furniture and desks in schools, insufficient ICT equipment, inadequate infrastructure, low levels of teacher motivation, lack of transportation for the Directorate, limited support during the BECE, inadequate motorbikes for School Improvement Support Officers (SISOs), and logistical constraints affecting the supervision and monitoring of schools.

The DCE reaffirmed his commitment to working closely with the Directorate to address these challenges, particularly through targeted interventions supported by the Ghana Education Trust Fund (GETFund). He assured the management and staff of the Assembly’s continued support in promoting quality education within the district.
