HO WEST DISTRICT ASSEMBLY ORGANIZES STAFF DURBAR

On Friday, 22nd November 2024, the Ho West District Assembly held a staff durbar at the District Assembly Hall. The purpose of the meeting was to provide updates from the Office of the Head of Local Government Service (OHLGS), enhance knowledge on local government protocols, train staff on risk management, and address staff concerns.

In his address, the District Human Resource Manager, Mr. Bismark Von Golloh emphasized the importance of professionalism among local government staff and cautioned them against engaging in active political activities. He also reiterated the Volta Regional Coordinating Council’s (VRCC) commitment in enforcing discipline among staff by applying measures outlined in the Local Government Service standards which includes but not limited to improper dressing, poor work attitude, lack of urgency in task delivery, and among others.

The Regional Human Resource Manager, Mr. Daniel Gbodogah, trained staff on risk management tools, equipping staff with strategies to identify, assess, and mitigate risks in their respective roles.

The District Coordinating Director, Mr. Wisdom Kporngor, expressed his appreciation for the active participation of staff and encouraged continued collaboration to achieve the Assembly’s goals.

Staff concerns raised during the meeting were acknowledged and addressed.
